Come join us for English Conversation classes at University Lutheran Chapel in College Station this summer, where we will be discussing all kinds of topics, including American idioms, culture and history; the Gospel of John, and anything else that you want to talk about!
MONDAYS (beginning June 4)
“20th Century American History”
10:30– 11:45 a.m., led by Allan
Have you ever wondered what people and events shaped the United States of America the most? If so, this class is for you. Allan will lead you, week by week, in study/discussion about famous people, places and events that shaped our nation in the last century.
TUESDAYS (beginning June 5)
“The Gospel of John, chapters 13-21” 10:30 – 11:45 a.m.,
led by Pastor Paul
This Bible study will focus on the last chapters of the Gospel of John, which feature the passion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Reading the Bible is a great way to learn English!
WEDNESDAYS (beginning June 6)
Cooking Class 5-6 p.m., led by Lydia
Join Lydia in this cultural exchange as we learn the vocabulary and skills necessary to cook American dishes, as well as foods from other countries. The more people we have, the more cuisines from around the world we can try!
THURSDAYS (beginning June 7)
“Read, Write, Listen, Speak!” 10:30 – 11:45 a.m., led by Mary Beth
This class will explore various topics of interest to students, while giving you a chance to sharpen your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Some materials may be Christian-based.
